So my school (School of Digital Media and IT) had this DMIT fiesta thing where we held games and stuff for secondary school students. I was assigned to be a facil so i was to bring some 10 sec school people around my school for scavanger hunt.

New phone is this.When i went to Singtel i was already aiming for this phone since it had Wifi. Only drawback was that it only came in Red/Black, Blue/Black and Black. So boyish. I was in luck because apparently it just came out in white. Picture of my phone below.

Comparing that uniform and polytechnic's cheerleading uniform.. She looks like a nun la. What with long sleeve, turtleneck and skirt so long they actually swoosh around.

Ohoh! The reason the pictures are so sucky is because (gasp) i forgot to bring the camera. So everything is taken on my sister's handphone. And not the canggih canggih handphone camera ok!

The pic below is quite okay becuase i stole the pictures from the pirate's handphone. Like once she took it, i Bluetooth-ed it to my phone. She was so nervous why i was clicking away at her phone. Hahaha. Wa.. flash makes everything look so gray. Ok la for handphone camera standards.

So last August my group did a video for our course assignment. Our lecturer suggested we joined a competition while at it and there was a Hygiene Video Making Comp organised by Health Promotion Board. Apparently they liked our video so we're shortlisted!

I am pro. This picture is taken by me. Pro! But i realise if i am the one taking the pics i will look the worse (The amount of people i can fit into the picture is directly proportional to the rate of weird-ness i will look).

SIWEI had the sudden urge (yes urge) to make DIY stuff. So she bought these rose-y things where we were supposed to fold like spongey-paperlike-thingey into what-looked-like roses.

Faces of concentration. (Waiting for partying to start). [Later found out that siwei stayed up until 3am that night watching videos on how to make that rose since we all gave up but her] HAH!

The next day, I went with my friends for a Merdeka Movie Day. I didnt realise we were going to watch District 9 until i walked into the cinema. Gross show. Not too horrible of a storyline but gross graphics.

I tied two pony tals because i felt that my face is weird that day and having weird hair distracts people from your face.

HAH! Bet you didnt notice it was unphotoshopped!!! Okay maybe you did. Whatever.

Oh crap. This was supposed to be a Merdeka post right. Gah, just realised the title. Erm.

So anyway last Saturday I went for Natsumatsuri. Its a Japanese Summer Festival organised by the JAS (Japanese Association of Singapore). Held in a Japanese Primary School in Changi.

So on Saturday i woke up early (if 10 am is considered early) and took the MRT to Woodlands. Met Luca and Alfred at the MRT there (I was late!!) and we waited around for Julia who was in Woodlands mall. I think its called Causeway Point or something.

Anyway, we took a bus to Julia's house. That was about 1.30 in the afternoon yeah. Here's Alfred. He looks like hes 40 or 50 but he's actually only 20. Hahahahaha.Julia helped me into my yukata which frankly was very very uncomfortable in the beginning (since it restricts you hunching or breathing for that matter) but after awhile it loosened (Or i just got used to not breathing). Mine was a non-pre-tied obi thus it took longer and more exclaims of "WHY ISNT IT STAYING UP".

After that was Luca's turn. This whole time poor Alfred was sitting outside growing older by the minute.

After that was Alfred's turn and male yukata's are definitely much easier to wear. Then Luca did hair and make up while i took pictures.

Then Julia wore her stuff while we waited outside.

We left the house at a shocking time of 5.30. I mean the event was to start at 5.30! So Julia called a taxi when i realised i did not bring my ticket!!! Luca was like, "WTF? You brought everything but your ticket?" and then i rememberedi left it in my room in Dover and panicked panicked. Then Julia called her friend who was already at the event and said, "Never mind, you take mine first. I think my friend has extras".

Gosh.

We arrived at about 5.50pm. Look at the crazy amount of people. Not a good idea to let your hair down or anything. You have to concentrate on not sweating.

Lined up for ages with Julia for a measly amount of Okonomiyaki and Alfred (thanks yeah) who lined up for Salmon Don for me and Curry something for Julia. Picture below by Eldred who captioned it in facebook, "The 2 cute girls quickly munching on their tiny portions of food..." We were waiting for Luca and Alfred who went to queue for Japanese Pancakes or something.
